                                                                           Ms. Morgan recently donated a large canvas for the Heart Healthy
                                                                           Extravaganza event. The St. Joe Company's WaterSound Beach Club held a
                                                                           silent auction, featuring original works by over 40 local artists as part of its
                                                                          "Heart Healthy Extravaganza" held Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008.

                                                                           Guests bid on original creations by over 40 regional artists to benefit Heart  
                                                                           and Vascular Services at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast. 
                                                                           Pieces at the auction included oils, acrylics, watercolors, pottery, sculptures,
                                                                           mosaics, photography and jewelry by the following local artists: Richard

The "Heart Healthy Extravaganza," an evening of healthy, gourmet cuisine prepared by six of the area's best chefs, will offer guests a chance to enter a drawing to win a weekend vacation at WaterSound Beach, dinner at local restaurants, as well as other great prizes. The evening will wind down with live music and dancing under the stars.

All proceeds will go towards the Sacred Heart Foundation's capital campaign to raise $5 million to expand heart and vascular services at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast in Walton County, Florida.

Charity Event at Watersound
2009 / 2010 South Walton Telephone Directory
The new 2009 / 10 South Walton Telephone Directories were distributed beginning Friday, May 8th 2009. This years cover features an acrylic painting of Deer Lake by Racquel. Deer Lake is one of South Walton's treasured State Parks and was threatened with closure earlier this year. 

17,000 copies will be distributed locally to homeowners and area businesses. If you have not received a copy, they will be available at both the Publix in Sandestin and in Watercolor while they last.

As always, the phone directory is filled with whimsical little pen & ink sketches by Marlin Griffin who can be reached at 850-897-4382.

2010 / 2011 South Walton Telephone Directory
The new 2010 / 11 South Walton Telephone Directories will be heading to print again soon. This years cover will feature an acrylic painting of one of 30A's rare coastal dune lakes -- Western Lake. Stay tuned for distribution dates later in the year.

30A Songwriters Festival -- January 15th - 17th, 2010
Racquel's artwork was featured as a backdrop for the artists performing at the first 30A Songwriters Festival in Florida. Several other artists also contributed their artistic interpretations in the same format. Each banner was located at a different venue where the songwriters were performing. Racquel's backdrop was featured at Fish Out of Water in Watercolor.

About The Event

An internationally prominent line up of singer-songwriters together with the best local writers and a select group of new artists will converge in south Walton County on Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend (January 15-17) for the inaugural 30A Songwriters Festival. All of the artists will perform in venues up and down Scenic Highway 30A in Northwest Florida on the Gulf of Mexico. Fans of great music, miles of white beaches, world class restaurants and the ultimate beach bars are invited to enjoy all of this over the three-day holiday weekend.

The 30a Songwriters Festival is being produced by and will benefit The Cultural Arts Association of Walton County, an umbrella organization that supports the arts through leadership, advocacy, funding, programs and education.
